On Thursday, February 13, at 4:30pm in WLH 119 (100 Wall St, New Haven), the Buckley Institute is excited to welcome author, podcaster, and columnist Coleman Hughes to the Yale campus for a talk titled, “The End of Race Politics.”
Hughes will be discussing his new book, The End of Race Politics: Arguments for a Colorblind America. In his book, Hughes traces the history of color-blind society to the Civil Rights Movement and explains why it’s the best path forward for America. He argues that the recent focus on skin color pushed by Ibram Kendi and Robin D’Angelo as part of the anti-racist movement actually creates a new type of racism, ultimately undermining the goals of the Civil Rights Movement in the process.
This event is free and open to the public.
