New Student Leadership

We are thrilled to announce that for the coming year Kobe Rizk ’21 and Weaver Lilley ’21 will serve as the Buckley Program’s student president and vice president, respectively.

“Weaver and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be leading the Buckley Program’s over three-hundred student fellows for the next two semesters,” noted Rizk. “We both joined the Program’s student board as freshmen and have had the chance over the past three years to watch the Program grow and offer more opportunities to Yale students than ever before. It is our hope that we can continue to build on this important work through exploring new initiatives and reaching new goals. There is no doubt that Yale’s campus is a more enriching and engaging place because of the Buckley Program, and we’re honored to represent the growing number of students who believe the same.”

Kobe Rizk is a junior in Ezra Stiles College and a history major. In addition to leading the Buckley Program and its over three-hundred student fellows, he’s involved with the Yale Political Union and is an ambassador for the Yale Admissions Office. In his free time, he enjoys biking, reading about Teddy Roosevelt, and exploring New England with friends. Kobe hails from Fairbanks, Alaska and hopes to work in policy or communications on Capitol Hill following graduation.

Weaver Lilley is a junior in Pauli Murray College studying history. He hails from Washington, DC and is an avid fan of the Washington Nationals. He enjoys studying religion, history, and political philosophy. At Yale, he is involved in the Yale Political Union, working on political campaigns, and various programs focused on studying the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Weaver hopes to work in politics or national security following graduation.
