The Buckley Institute Launches New Podcast: Pod and Man at Yale

The Buckley Institute has launched a new podcastPod and Man at Yale.

The new podcast features student voices talking about the most important issues facing the campus and discussing the most pressing political issues of the day. Each episode features a panel of Yale undergraduates, giving greater voice in the campus debates to those most directly affected by them.

In addition to diving in-depth with diverse student perspectives, each episode will also include an interview one of the expert speakers brought to Yale by the Buckley Institute.

In our inaugural episode, Yale undergraduates Libby Snowden ’24, Trevor MacKay ’25, and Will Barbee ’26 discuss the state of free speech on campus. They then looked at the Supreme Court’s affirmative action decision and how it will impact on campus discussion.

For our interview, former White House Chief of Staff, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, and Congressman Mick Mulvaney joined the podcast to talk about what it’s actually like to succeed in these key government positions. He then reflected on his political career and gave advice to those seeking to enter the political arena. The podcast is currently available online and on Spotify, and will soon be available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and all major podcast platforms.
